This years tournament has been cancelled due to lack of entires.
This year’s event will be run from Monday 1st June, with the final being scheduled to be played on Friday 19th June. Each match will be the best of five games (American scoring).
Entry to each tournament will cost £2.50. Only paid-up entries will be considered for the draw). Please pay at the bar in the clubhouse (just ask for the squash club jar).
This event is good fun and gives all standards of players a chance. If you haven’t played in one before, contact Adrian Jowett and he will pleased to explain the format.
All entries by Friday 22nd May so that we can post the individual playing times on the Squash Club notice board by 25th May.

Rules
- Matches are best of 5 with American scoring
- American Scoring – Every rally counts (ie you don’t have to serve to score), upto 15 points,
- Adrian will assign handicaps to all players based (ranging from -35 to +10, depending on standard)
- The handicap system explained by examples :-
- Both players with negative handicaps
- Example - Player A -20, Player B -5 then Player A starts on -15 and Player B starts on 0
- Both players with positive handicaps
- Example - Player A +5, Player B +10 then Player A starts on 0 and Player B starts on +5
- One player on negative and one player on positive handicap
- Example - Player A -20, Player B +5 then Player starts on -20 and Player B starts on +5
- Matches may be played at any time, but must be played by the dates indicated in the draw, unless otherwise agreed with Adrian. Some Tournament block bookings have been made to allow people time to play. If wanting to use one of these times, please still book it though, to avoid people turning up at the same time.
- Please mark/referee your own matches. Only the finals will have a provided referee.
- Squash lights have to be paid for as per normal except for the finals.
